BAGELS // How bloody good are they? I love me a dense bready treat always topped with the most ridiculous amount of cream cheese. Every time I go to New York it’s like I catch up for lost time consuming the best #bagels I can find and trying to hunt down my fave place. Fave NY delis so far are: 1. @tompkinssquarebagels 2. @blackseedbagels 3. @murraysbagels 4. @essabagel Now I’m home my next challenge is to bake them myself. I’ve bought the @traderjoes everything bagel seasoning home to Australia with me so at least I’ll have something genuine to add. Stay tuned to see how they turn out this weekend!

HOME ESSENTIALS // Aptly named, this is the doTERRA kit I got started with. It contains oils that truly are essential to the home. 1. On Guard The oil that got me hooked. A blend designed to support immune health. Highly anti-bacterial and ideal for cleaning and using to keep germs at bay. Definitely one to have on hand to fight any infection with. 2. Frankincense A highly valuable oil used for thousands of years. This oil makes the kit really cost-effective as alone, Frank costs $97. Frank can be used to support your immune system also as well as for his calming and grounding benefits. 3. Lemon Add a drop to your water each morning to support a healthy metabolism. Use to flavour food as well as in natural cleaning products around the home. 4. Tea Tree The ultimate oil for anti-fungal and cleansing purposes. Use to support healthy skin and to disinfect surfaces around the home. 5. Oregano A powerful and potent oil that targets. Great for oil pulling as well as on the soles of feet when feeling under the weather and fluey. 6. Digest Zen As the name suggests, this oil is great for all things digestion and tummy related issues. From nausea, to travel sickness to period pain. I have a drop in peppermint tea after dinner each night to support healthy digestion. 7. Easy Air Another blend created to support the respiratory system. This one is great for hayfever and congestion. I call it the natural Vicks. 8. Peppermint 1 drop of oil = 28 cups of peppermint tea. This is super potent. Great for use in cooking and is a very cooling oil for use with fevers and hot summer days in a spray. Also great under the tongue as a breath mint. 9. Lavender The swiss army knife of the oil kingdom. This oil supports sleep, rest and relaxation as well as other great topical issues such as burns, bites, sunburn and scratches. 10. Ice Blue This is fave with the gym junkies. The natural 'Deep Heat'. Use this one topical with your fave carrier oil or moisturiser. HOT MESS //⠀ ⠀ It's soooo easy for us to look at people's perfectly curated IG feeds and feel like they've got it all together. I do it all the time!⠀ ⠀ It's not until I remind myself that the person on the other side of the phone screen is probably just like me, a hot mess, hustling and trying her best amidst the chaos and busyness that is our lives.⠀ ⠀ It's one of the reasons I love IG stories so much, I can keep things as real as possible there despite my pretty perfect feed.⠀ ⠀ Let it be a reminder for today, don't compare your life with someone else on the internet. LOCAL // Loving that our area has so many amazing new cafes, restaurants and spaces on offer. This one @southendsocialgosford is a beauty and the interiors are to die for. I’m a big believer in buying and supporting local businesses and have seen the value in it more as I’ve gotten older. We visit the farmers market most weekends and try to buy local produce, meat, eggs and honey as much as possible. What ways can you swap out products and items to support local farms and businesses?
